EDS Mud Puppy Music Club (baby classes)- Why virtual classes

Hi Families,
I know the uncertainty of these times is being felt by all, and I would love nothing more than to see you all on the EDS campus and give hugs and in-person love to you and your little ones! However, after reviewing multiple criteria and assessing restrictions and guidance on how to properly start gathering in groups, I do not feel that it is in our best interest to hold in person sessions of my Mud Puppy Music Club. Instead  the  2020  summer  Mud  Puppy  Music  Club  classes  will  include:

  • six  live  Zoom  classes  featuring  live  interaction  and   pre-recorded  activities. These  classes  can  be  accessed  and  watched   anytime  during  the  session.  You  can  attend  the  class  you  registered  for  OR  any/all  other  classes.
  • supplies:  shaker  &  scarf

I make this decision with the following guidelines in mind:

  • Suggestions that gatherings are limited to 10 people - This would limit class size in a way that would not allow me to reach the number of families who have come to participate in the Mud Puppy Community
  • High Risk Populations - many of our babies live with, or are cared for by grandparents who fall into a high risk category and the desire to respect their safety is important
  • Instruments /Props - Due to the tactile nature of Mud Puppy Music Club and the important way in which we use scarves, eggs, parachute, and stretchy band I feel it would be challenging to keep things sanitized in a way to ensure maximum safety

Please note, that the decision to hold Mud Puppy Music Club virtually does not reflect a decision by EDS for all their summer camp programs. They are looking at each program individually, assessing and monitoring guidelines and recommendations, and taking all precautions to make the best decisions for each camp, each camper, each campers families, and all the staff.
Please let me know if you have any questions. And I so look forward to seeing all the faces even through a computer this summer!
Love,

Miss  Tara
