(ages 5-6) - Tuesdays 4:30-5:00

August - May

UPDATE: UkuLitteles are FULL for 2019-2020 school year

This is a 30-minute group ukulele class for young beginners.  Students bring their own instrument. We focus on holding the instrument correctly, learning string names, mastering the C chord, and singing and playing together as a group.  We perform 4-5 songs in the Christmas recital in December and the spring recital in May.

Students bring their own instruments, 

I provide all other materials 

+ a prize or snack each week.

(ages 7-10) - Tuesdays 5:15-5:45

August - May

This is a 30-minute group ukulele class for intermediate ukulele players.  Students bring their own instrument We focus on singing and playing together as a group, dynamics, different strumming patterns, and C, F G7 chords.  We perform 4-5 songs in the Christmas recital in December and the spring recital in May.

Students bring their own instruments,

 + a prize or snack each week.

(advanced) - Fridays 4:15-5:00

August - May

This is a 45-minute group ukulele class for advanced ukulele players.  To be in this class, students must be able to play the following chords: C, F, G, G7, Am, Dm, Em. Students bring their own instrument. We focus on advanced techniques and strumming patters as well as composition.  We perform a 4-5 song concert at a local Memory Care center for our community outreach project in December and in May.

(Kindergarten/ age 5) 

Tuesdays 3:30-4:15

August - May

This is a 45-minute general music class with an emphasis on piano.  Students learn note names, note values, dynamics, solfege and piano pieces for recitals in December and May. 

I take up to 12 students per year. 

I provide all materials + a prize or snack each week.

(grades 1-3) Thursdays 3:30-6:00

August- May

UPDATE: Private lessons are FULL for 2019-2020 school year

These half lessons (15 minutes) are for young beginners starting at age 5 (Kindergarten).  I teach classical method (Alfred's All-In-One Piano Lessons, Book 1), theory (Music Theory for Young Children by Ying Ying Ng) and composition.  

As a supplemental manipulative, 

I use the iPad app DustBusters.  

I teach young beginners: 1st grade  up to 3rd grade, then help them find intermediate teachers to continue with.  I only take 10 students per year.

Students purchase lesson/theory books, I provide all other materials + prize/snack each week.
